Waterbank Augustus (Gus)

ELITE SCORING FOAL AT BRITISH BREEDING FUTURITIES

SCORING 9.25 FOR CANTER - JUDGES COMMENTS 'CADENCED AND UPHILL'

Waterbank Augustus - Awarded ELITE at British Breeding Futurities for Showjumping and was the reserve high score of the day at the recent British Breeding Futurity at Hartpury College, Gloucester!

Black based few spot (E/E, LP/LP, PATN1/PATN1) colt born 05/05/24 out of 155cm KNN graded purebred Knabstrupper of classic type, Waterbank Sirani by 165cm KNN graded and Performance tested Knabstrupper, Tresaison Ricochet who gained Best Performance Test and Best in Show at the 2013 UK KNN gradings as a 4 year old and went on to have many wins British Showjumping up to 1.35m before being retired sound to stud.

Tresaison Ricochet is by Rubin Star N who competed at Grand Prix level dressage and was champion stallion at his performance test, he has also achieved ELITE stallion status with SHBGB due to his progeny and continued success at International level.

Waterbank Sirani is by the purebred classic Knabstrupper, Tornado af Knabstrup who was graded and performance tested, becoming the UK KNN Performance Champion in 2011 and being the sire of the leading Eventing Sports Pony in the British Breeding Futurities in 2014 and 2015, being ranked in the top 10 stallions for Eventing and No. 1 Sports Pony Stallion for Eventing in the British Breeding Fututity All Time Sire rankings until it was discontinued in 2018. Her Dam Vile Aetsted herself was also a graded Knabstrupper and was Champion mare at the UK KNN Gradings in 2005, she also competed at the FEI World Para Dressage Championships.

Not only does Waterbank Augustus carry all 4 of the Knabstrupper historic bloodlines, Mi, Ma, SK and ZS, he is also homozygous for the LP gene, as well as PATN1 and black, therefore if he is kept entire as a breeding stallion he guarantees spotted offspring!

His recent Elite award from the British Breeding Futurities proves he has the conformation and movement to excel but he also has the kind, willing temperament and the look at me attitude you want for a future star!

He is very well handled and will be fully vaccinated, passported, DNA tested, regularly wormed and feet will be regularly trimmed. Due to the current DEFRA regulations restricting the registering and grading of the Knabstrupper Horse in the UK (previously known as the Knabstrupper Sport) Waterbank Augustus will be registered and passported with The British Warmblood Society and will be presented at the British Breeding Futurities at Hartpury College on Sunday 28th July 2024, he would also be eligible for Knabstrupper grading as a Knabstrupper Horse outside the UK or if the DEFRA restrictions are lifted in UK.

The British Breeding Evaluation at Hartpury College was filmed by Clipmyhorse.tv so you can view the full evaluation.

Waterbank Legacy (Lacey)

***GOLD SCORING FOAL AT BRITISH BREEDING FUTURITIES***

Currently black but will change! (E/e, LP/n, no PATN1) filly born 20/04/24 out of 160cm KNN registered Purebred Knabstrupper and graded with SHB GB, Waterbank Nikita, by 170cm Graded & 70 day Performance tested Trakehner stallion, Holme Park Legend.

Holme Park Legend was the first British bred Trakehner to be sold to Germany.  He passed his 30 day and 70 day performance test in Germany before returning to UK to resume a successful eventing career, qualifying for the 4 year old PAVO Young Event Horse Championships on his first competitive outing and reaching the finals of the Burleigh Young Event Horse before being sold to Germany to continue his career as a showjumper, being the equivalent of a Grade A showjumper.  Sadly Legend passed away in 2016 due to colic (see 'Stallions used' for more information).

Waterbank Nikita is one of very few Knabstruppers to be graded with Sports Horse Breeding GB, she is by the purebred classic Knabstrupper, Tornado af Knabstrup who was graded and performance tested, becoming the UK KNN Performance Champion in 2011 and being the sire of the leading Eventing Sports Pony in the British Breeding Futurities in 2014 & 2015 and being ranked in the top 10 stallions for Eventing and No. 1 Sports Pony Stallion for Eventing in the British Breeding All Time Sire rankings until it was discontinued in 2018.  Her Dam Vile Aetsted herself was also a graded Knabstrupper and was Champion mare at the UK KNN Gradings in 2005, she also competed at the FEI World Para Dressage Championships.

Waterbank Legacy carries all 4 of the Knabstrupper historic bloodlines, Mi, Ma, SK & ZS and would make a super addition to anyone’s breeding program and excel in any equestrian sport, equally she would make an amateur dream and best friend!.

Lacey is an incredibly friendly filly with excellent conformation and movement.  She is very well handled and will be fully vaccinated, passported with The British Warmblood Society, DNA tested, regularly wormed and feet will be regularly trimmed.  You can see her coat changing colour with more and more grey hairs appearing by the day and you can certainly now make out some black spots in the coat, I think she will have some dramatic coat changes happen!

Lacey was presented at the British Breeding Futurities as a showjumping foal where she was awarded a Gold Premium.
